Christmas Open House

Our annual Christmas Open House was held last week for the contractors who build Beaver Mountain homes. After walking through the three model homes and seeing the progress of the Grandview’s construction, they were able to tour the manufacturing facility to have an in-depth look at the way we manufacture our homes: beginning with our detailed engineering layouts, then to our thorough precutting and numbering of each log to its exact specifications, through drystacking. The air was filled with stories as builders and the Beaver Mountain family talked about the past year’s projects and looked forward to what 2007 would hold.

We thank each contractor for ensuring the same quality that we put into a log home’s manufacturing is extended to the building site. There are so many beautiful Beaver Mountain homes all over the northeast and that is due to the talented contractors who build them. Thank you!

Our Cedar Ridge Model Home

Happy Thanksgiving!

As we spend tomorrow celebrating Thanksgiving, we are counting our blessings. We are thankful for our Beaver Mountain family; a group of professionals who work as a team to provide you with the best product and service in the log home industry. We are thankful for the builders and contractors who support our work and turn our product into beautiful finished homes. We are thankful for the associates who we rely on for so many things. We are thankful for our customers, and we are honored to have been a part of their new dream log home. And we are thankful for you – the log home enthusiast – for researching the industry and looking into our company.

On a personal note, we are thankful for our families and all the experiences we have had throughout the year. Some were good and some not so good, but they all served to teach us something about life and growth. So on this holiday, take a few minutes and count the blessings in your life. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! (And don’t eat too much turkey!)

A beautiful day for the November Open House

Our November Beaver Mountain Open House, Mill Tour & Home Planning Seminar was held last weekend and was a great success! The weather was absolutely gorgeous as over fifty people toured through our state-of-the-art mill. There they saw how our logs are milled and learned more about the extent we go through to provide a quality product that is customized to their desires and made to be builder-friendly. After eating a lunch within the walls of a customer’s dry-stacked house, we showed them how the log walls are actually assembled during a log building workshop. Local contractor Ralph Smith Jr. was there to provide a builder’s perspective and answer questions – and many good ones were brought up! This crowd was on their game and their enthusiasm for log homes was evident! It was a wonderful atmosphere as we all gathered to share our passion of log and timber frame homes!

This energy carried over to the Home Planning Seminar that was held in our Hancock, NY sales office. Here Sales Consultant Bruce Singleton shared the steps for planning a house, designing and building it, showing how we at Beaver Mountain help them along the way. Our next Open House, Mill Tour and Home Planning Seminar will be December 9th with special Sunday hours on the 10th.
